I love painting, and always strive to be authentic. All of my work is original, one of a kind. I am drawn to paint the Catskill mountains in the summer, and Southern images in the winter. I also like working with children and designing their themes. My clients often have their own ideas about what they want. It is challenging and fun to paint a mural, and have it be sucessful. I get a great satisfaction from transforming a room, and making everyone happy. I work in brush and ink paint Chinese style as well. I studied Chinese painting with a teacher from Tiwan."You become the mountain, rock, or tree, when painting, you breath with the movement of the brush; the stroke has a beginning middle and end.The form is then developed with a rhythm, expressing its essence." When I lay a painting out it is always with a brush. On the larger murals I lay them out lightly with colored chalk, and freehand paint the rest. I believe that expression from the brush is a total part of the painting, like a language of color building its parts to express the total composition.
